How long does the game last?

The game will last approximately 60-75 minutes, depending on how awesome your team is at solving puzzles and completing your challenge.  The actual allotted time for a game is listed with it's description.  The overall time you should expect to spend at Mind Games is approximately 90 minutes. 

How can we find out what days and times are available?

Simply click on the ONLINE BOOKING button to view our reservation calendar.  You are not required to reserve a time to look at the calendar.

What time should we arrive?

We require you to show up about 15 minutes before your scheduled game start time.  This gives us time to give you some basic instructions, answer questions and help you sign the waiver forms if you haven't already done so.

Does each person need to sign a waiver form?

Everyone needs to sign a waiver form in order to participate in our puzzle rooms.  Children under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a waiver form for them.  If the parent is not accompanying the child to Mind Games, the waiver form needs to be completed and submitted to us in advance of the child participating.

If you elect to not sign the waiver, you will not be permitted to participate in one of our puzzle rooms.  We will refund your admission fee if already paid.

What should I wear?

Please dress in comfortable clothing.  Shoes are always required in our rooms.  If you require reading glasses, we definately recommend bringing them with you.



Will we be in a puzzle room with strangers playing the same game?

No.  Our puzzle rooms are always private.  You will only be playing with the people you know.  When you reserve a time slot it will no longer be available to anyone else.

How many people can be on our team?

We find that 4-8 people on a team provides the best game play.  2-3 players also works, but your team will be challenged and will have to multi-task and play quickly to succeed. You can play with as many as 10 people if you want to play as a large group.  Each person will have a little less to do with larger groups, but most large teams tell us they loved playing together.  The Game Master will always consider the number of players and provide for optimum gameplay results.



Are the games physically strenuous?

Overall our puzzle rooms do not require strenuous exertion.  You may be required to bend over, kneel, walk around, manipulate objects and play under low light conditions.  However, your heart may race as the timer starts counting down!  

Are the games dangerous to play?

We work really hard to provide a safe gameroom experience.  It is our priority to design all our rooms, puzzles and props with player safety in mind.     



What ages are the puzzle rooms for?

There are no age restrictions for our puzzle rooms.  However, we do recommend ages 10 years and over in our rooms.  We find that some children younger than 10 do not always understand some of the clues or information about game play.  This may hinder others that want the optimum gameplay experience.  If you want to play with children younger than 10, that is completely your choice.  All that we ask is that everyone in the puzzle room has paid admission. 

Can a team of only children play?

Short answer is yes.  There is no adult-only content or anything scary in our puzzle rooms.  However, life experiences and problem solving skills are required.  We find that groups with all children under the age of 12 usually can not complete the challenges before time runs out.  However, we have had several teams of children complete the game successfully when there has been at least one or two in the group 12 years or over.



Do we need experience to be successful in a puzzle room?

Absolutely not!  The majority of our participants have never played a puzzle room before.  We will give you specific instructions before you start the game and answer any questions you may have.  You will also receive helpful information as needed by the Game Master throughout the course of the game.  Most of our first time players thoroughly enjoy the experience and can't wait to tell their friends.

Are the puzzle rooms scary?

No.  We do not design our puzzle rooms to be scary at all.  You will definitely discover some surprises during the game, but there is nothing that will scare you.

How do I cancel a booking I already made?

Please contact us via email or phone for assistance if you need to cancel.

What happens if we are late to our appointment?

All scheduled games start no later than 10 minutes after the official start time.  If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be joining the game that is already in progress.  Please understand that you have reserved a certain time slot during the day and it can not overlap into another time slot reserved by other guests.  We must abide by a strict schedule to operate games and to reset our game rooms before the next group arrives.

Do we get a refund if we cancel our booking?

We do not issue refunds for cancelled bookings.  However, you may apply the amount you initially paid, minus a $25 cancellation fee, for admission to a new date made within 30 days of the initial booking date.  We will not apply admission credit after 30 days of initial booking date.  We may, at our discretion waive the $25 cancellation fee if the booking was cancelled due to severe weather conditions.  We will also waive the $25 cancellation fee if we were able to re-book the time slot you forfeited.  Please understand that a cancelled time slot is revenue that is lost for us.
